Principal’s Greetings
It is with great enthusiasm that I welcome you to the 2022-2023 school year! I am entering my sixth year as principal at the Columbia County Alternative School and count it as a blessing, and a privilege to serve the students, and families of this community. The mission of the Columbia County Alternative School (CCAS) is to provide an education to students who have not been successful in the traditional school environment. With a well-trained and dedicated faculty, innovative and supportive instruction, guidance services and community support, we work towards achieving academic and behavioral growth for each of our students. We are especially proud and excited to have two new teachers on our staff. They are professional individuals and will help take our school to the next level. As we embark on this mission daily, we take every opportunity to reach every child, and collectively strengthen the instruction being delivered.
This school year promises to be a very exciting one that presents many great opportunities. To the class of 2023, I will say that you have a bright future ahead of you. There are many experiences that you will encounter after graduation that your parents, teachers, and community have helped to prepare you for. You all have different directions that you may be heading, but you must hold strong to the values and principles that you have been taught. No matter where you go, you are an achiever, and we are proud of you. Enjoy your impending success and keep moving forward!
